Do you need a prescription for a CGM?

Continuous glucose monitors are only available by prescription in the United States.
However, Nutrisense takes care of CGM prescriptions for members, which means you don't need a prescription before signing up. If eligible, Nutrisense's physician network handles the prescription for you, so there’s no need to visit a practitioner face-to-face if your goal is to use a CGM as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Does Nutrisense accept insurance, HSA, and FSA payments?

Yes. Some Nutrisense products are eligible for insurance or HSA/FSA reimbursement.

The Nutrisense Premium Subscription and the CGM Bundle are NOT eligible for insurance coverage, but are eligible for Health Savings Account(HSA) or Flexible Spending Account(FSA) reimbursement in most cases. Check with your HSA/FSA fund to see whether our program would be reimbursed in full, partially, or not at all.

If your fund does cover Nutrisense, we'll be more than happy to provide you with an itemized receipt to submit to your HSA or FSA provider. When the time comes, feel free to email [email protected] to request your receipt.

Nutrisense Nutritionist Video Calls are eligible for insurance coverage, with most members paying $0 out-of-pocket. Major insurers with coverage include Cigna, United Healthcare, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Anthem, and more. Members will complete an insurance eligibility check to confirm their options after purchase.

*Disclaimer: A CGM is not intended to diagnose, cure or prevent any conditions such as diabetes.
