Do you need a prescription for a CGM?

Continuous glucose monitors are only available by prescription in the United States.
However, Nutrisense takes care of CGM prescriptions for members, which means you don't need a prescription before signing up. If eligible, Nutrisense's physician network handles the prescription for you, so there’s no need to visit a practitioner face-to-face if your goal is to use a CGM as part of a healthy lifestyle.

Does Nutrisense accept insurance, HSA, and FSA payments?

Nutrisense accepts HSA and FSA payments but is not currently able to accept insurance. We are continually working towards getting coverage and will provide the Nutrisense community with any updates.

Certain Flexible Spending Accounts (FSA) and Health Savings Accounts (HSA) can be used for Nutrisense programs.

We recommend checking with your fund to see whether our program would be covered either in full, partially, or not at all.

If your fund does cover Nutrisense, we'll be more than happy to provide you with an itemized receipt to submit to your HSA or FSA provider. When the time comes, feel free to email [email protected] to request your receipt.

*Disclaimer: A CGM is not intended to diagnose, cure or prevent any conditions such as diabetes.
